About Kevin

Hello! I'm Kevin. I'm an on-and-off computer science student, web designer, graphic designer, and animal lover living in Lancaster, PA. I've been coding in one form or another since I was about twelve years old and love the challenges of working with computers. I enjoy the technical side of things, figuring out how things work, and putting projects together. I'm also somewhat creative and enjoy designing things and making them look pretty.
In my spare time I like to work on this website, play Overwatch, go for hikes, cook yummy food, and spend time with family. I'm always learning new things and love sharing information with others. I think teaching might be one of my passions. For some reason I really enjoy writing technical documentation, something many people find rather boring.
I've never worked as a web designer or programmer in a professional capacity, partly because I'm afraid that might suck the fun out of it (though the pay could be nice!) I also haven't finished my Computer Science degree yet. For the past few years I was working a dead-end job in retail, selling phones for Verizon at this company called Victra (don't get me started). Now I'm working random jobs doing things like babysitting and dogsitting. I find caring for people and animals to be a rewarding experience (much better than retail sales in my opinion - not to hate on anyone who likes working retail).
I hope I can do something to make the world a better place. My overall outlook on society is somewhat pessimistic, but I actually do like people. Not as much as dogs, but people aren't all bad. I'm not going to get into politics. Anyways, I'm glad you're here and hope you find these resources helpful. If there's anything you need, want to hire me, or just need help with a homework assignment, feel free to reach out.
Wish you the best,
Kevin Olson
